Merry Christmas! 

It’s been a year, and likely won’t be another update for 2025 – Next will be in early 2026! We have a few things to share:

Field trips: There will be an early 2026 field trip to the Rand London Quarry, please get in touch if you are interested in attending. It is, as always, open to all.

Mineralvault.org: A new tool for collectors to document, catalogue, and safely trade or sell mineral specimens. You can read more about it here!

There is also a new website on the block supplying high quality mineral specimens to South African collectors (and beyond) – Oakhirst Minerals

The Discord server is growing and becoming more active, we’re now approaching 80 members!

From flats of spirit quartz to new DRC finds and everything inbetween (geographically speaking). The website is still up and going strong - We do need your involvement in the local community!
